  For coins I'd try the policy offered through the ANA rather than a policy with your homeowner's insurance. For artwork I just don't know. Valuation could be difficult and you should check into just how the insurance company assigns a value they will be willing to insure for.

  I originally called my insurance agent about insuring my coin collection. After a long period of trying to figure it out, they gave me an outrageous quote. I then tried Hugh Woods through ANA and it could not have been easier and far cheaper. The art portion I don't know about.

  Hugh Wood is very good for your standard collectibles. I am not sure that they cover art, but look up an agent in your area or an 800# for Chubb. They have done this type of insurance for a while.

  I use collectinsure for my collections including coins, art, comics etc.
  
  Very easy to work with but you have to declare anything worth over $5k.

  All coins kept in bank vaults.
