He pitched an AWESOME game ... unfortunately it came against the team I root for. Mets lost BOTH ENDS of the Twin Bill.

If you were told your pitchers would go:

7 innings pitched; 2 hits; 1 earned run; 10 Ks and 1 walk

6 innings pitched; 4 hits; 0 earned runs; 11 Ks and 0 walks

and you would lose both games of a double header

    you would never believe it!!!

    Oh well.
    STAY HEALTHY!

    Doug

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Guy is a beast. Too bad we couldn't see him pitch in the playoffs

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Just think, he was one HBP and one fielding error away from throwing two perfect games this year!

35 total strike outs in a 9 inning game. Is that a record?

Did they pour chocolate sauce on his head after the game. I saw them do that earlier this year and thought it was the dumbest thing I have ever seen. A stupid attempt to be different. Just give the pie to the face and call it a day!!!

Sounds like you are an O's fan. I loved Adam Jones pie-facing the fans last year after they clinched the playoffs. That was something special.

Did the Mets have their regular lineup? Most no hitters are in the 1st and last months of the season.

No, they didn't have their regular lineup. Though their regular lineup hasn't been much more productive lately.
