New Ebay Bucks promotion

I just received in email the following Ebay Bucks promotion:
Two days only - Sept 22 8:00 am to Sept 23 11:59 PT
2x - purchases $50+
3x - purchases $100+
4x - purchases $150+

Capped at $100 per transaction and $500 for the two days.

Time to go hunting.

I agree- This is too much free money they are giving out.

Why only 2 days - even fast food coupons go for 30-45 days.

And their putting the floor at items over $50 - I can't even get them to bid on cheap conis I start at 90% behind CDN bid a lot of the time. Either the people are broke or market in tank. The fast food companies don't put some high minimum dollar value on their promotions either.

They can try give away all free money they want but if people don't have it not gonna work.

There's no way Ebay is going away unless someone creates something that directly competes with it and is better.

To those who did NOT get the ebay bucks promo today, this may be of interest to you!!!!

I just checked my ebay messages, after seeing this thread, to see if I got the invite from ebay. I usually ALWAYS do, but on occasion, I don't, and I did NOT get this 2X, 3X, 4X, ending tomorrow night. Well, now I have a sudden need for a new garage door opener. I scan ebay, and find one. Now, when I 'log' on to ebay, I go through my 'favorites', and never really 'log on', as I'm not really signing off. This is where it gets interesting, and might just work for others who go to ebay from their 'favorite', and are not getting the invite.

I find the garage door opener, and I'm going to buy it, with MrRebates. When using MrRebates, derryb suggested I log out completely from ebay, go to MrRebates and log on there, then you get directed to ebay. I click 'ebay' on MrRebates, and it directs me to ebay. After arriving at ebay, I always sign out from ebay, and sign back in 'fresh' to ebay, as derryb suggested. WELL, after signing in 'fresh', the ebay bucks promo pops up on that VERY FIRST page, complete with an 'activate' button. I activate it, it tells me I'm now eligible. But, not convinced I will actually GET the bucks, as it wasn't from 'my ebay messages', I get to the opener, and sure enough, it shows how much I'll get in eay bucks if I pay for it 'whatever time tomorrow' (what is it, 11:59pm PT?). Still not convinced, because it did NOT come to me in 'my messages', I then PAY for the set of door openers (got 2, as the OEM model is discontinued, and I'd rather have to 'original')...

SURE ENOUGH, I GOT THE EBAY BUCKS WITHOUT GETTING AN INVITE IN 'MY MESSAGES' ON EBAY.

PHYSICALLY LOG OUT OF EBAY, THEN LOG ON 'FRESH'......IT MIGHT WORK FOR THOSE WHO GO TO EBAY VIA 'FAVORITES'.

I'd love to hear how many, besides me, did NOT get the message in their ebay 'my messages', but after signing off, then signing on again, this worked and they were eligible for the promo.

Not Sure, you probably will see the ebay bucks message later. I suspect you got the offer about the time you logged back in but before you actually got the message. Sometimes the message trails you being actually eligible for the promo. I got the offer but only learned about it when I first logged in and before I went to My Ebay. I still haven't receive a message from ebay telling me I got it.

Best way to see if you got the promo before you get the message is to click on an eligible item and see if you get the "Pay today and earn $xxx in eBay Bucks" statement while viewing the listing. Always look for this "Pay today. . ." statement while viewing the actual listing, it is the only way to confirm you will actually earn the bonus bucks.

I expect that not every promotion is given to everyone. Since I got the 5x Ebay Bucks promotion last week, I don't expect to get this one this week. Anyone get them both?

I did, same account. You are correct, not everyone gets a promotion. Random and only sent to those who opt in by checking the box in their settings under promotions and surveys. Check the second and third boxes.

Well I'm glad I didn't get this promotion. Over the weekend I had to confess to my wife how many coins I purchased under last week's 5x promotion. I'm on hiatus from buying coins for awhile.

My opinion is gold will drop below $1000 soon before it starts its long climb back up.

The total Gold content of each of these Gold 50 pesos is 1.2057 oz.
You do the math.

Just a tad below current spot. A good buy, with the EB bux bonus offer, at current gold prices. If you've never held one of these 50 peso monsters in your hand you are missing a real stacker's delight.

I have 2 accounts, one when I started buying on eBay in 2001 then a seller account from 2002.
I pretty much use my seller account for both now.

I got the 5x offer on both accounts. I only bought 1 coin for $170 using my seller account.

For the new 4x offer, I received it for my buyer account but not my seller account.

So when I didn't use the 5x offer, I got the 4x offer.
When I did use the 5x offer, I didn't get the 4x offer.

I got both the 5x and 2-3-4x offer -- I used the 5x offer on a $270 coin and a $130 gadget.

Still trying to decide if I need / want anything for the 2-3-4x offer.

Got the ebay message for the current promo on the second day of the promo. Promo was available to me on the first and second day.
