  If postmarked before the FS cut-off date you can do as you choose. Verify receiving the appropriate "set" pedigree if applicable.

  From what I understand...No...they have to remain sealed for Special consideration; First Strike, Coin & Chronicle, etc...
  
  You need to send your sealed box inside another box. I have been wrong before.
  
  THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO OBTAIN THE FIRST STRIKE DESIGNATION
  
  1. The package mailed to PCGS has a postmark date prior to the PCGS cutoff date for that particular coin/issue. Only the coins need to be mailed to PCGS and received within the first 30 days of issue.
  
  2. Submit the coins in the original unopened shipping box from the U.S. Mint with a postmark date prior to the specified PCGS cutoff date.

  I think to get the special label the sealed set must be submitted. But I would call Monday morning to be sure.

  I was thinking that all (3) of the coins in question were only available in the sets?

  It depends on if the coin is unique only to the set. Otherwise what's to keep a submitter from sending in a coin of his choice that was not actually removed from the set. If the coins could only have come from the set and you are within the First Strike time limit, should be no problem. Safest play without first talking to PCGS is to forget the convenience and savings of removing the excess packaging and just ship a bigger box.
