PCGS submittals - definitely NOT first in...first out (within the same service tier)

I have been watching my order (like most people do with their own) that was received on 21 Aug 2015, and was in the Variety Attribution queue as of 24 Aug 2015, by the certification numbers being updated per PCGS Cert Verification. Three of four attribution were updated, while the forth remains as it was when it arrived. As I am looking at the Shared Order page, every one that is on the front page has a received date after mine and are being in the process of being shipped out to their respective owners. So much for my order "should be shipped out by the end of the week" per PCGS Customer Service Rep. Then again he did not say which week. My email that I sent to info@PCGS.com last week remains unanswered on this subject.

Perhaps I just don't "get it". image

    Variety attribution adds time to the submissions. You are probably looking at orders on the Shared page that don't have varieties.

    One cannot determine which have additional service based upon order numbers. But, it should not take weeks to attribute one remaining of the four submitted, it is not a difficult variety to identify either. Variety attribution does add time for the service "In general, add 3-5 business days to the Service Level turnaround time. Certain varieties may require consultation with outside experts, in which case turnaround times may be longer. However, PCGS makes every effort to expedite your order in such cases." If this is the case...say so. Hopefully for the sake of resubmitting, their outside expert can make the right call. Only time will tell. When the trueviews come through I will post it in this thread.

    Perhaps the person who can attribute that one coin is on vacation or they sent it out to an independent expert.

    I, for one, wouldn't complain about a one calendar month wait on a submission.
