Would it be spam if....

1. Person "A" posted a photo of a great coin being auctioned off by person "B" before the auction ends?
2. Person "A" posted a photo of a great coin being auctioned off by person "B" before the auction ends and person "A" owns the auction website?

Auction not for sale.... >>
I meant to include auction under "sale" since successful auctions generally end in a sale.
More generically, does the post mention the coin is being offered in any manner.
I don't know if I'd call either of those cases "spam" - more like just being rude - unless the person A and B are in cahoots. Then I'd call it spam.

If you found it after spending effort to find it and are waiting to pounce on it, posting it here would bring in new bidders and raising the price on someone who found it on their own.
It's not spam, but it's not cool.
<< <i>it should be posted AFTER the auction ends. >>
It appears that:
1) posting a coin here AFTER an auction ends can have issues too
2) some before auction posts are okay
I didn't see a PCGS forum rule on this so I'd say use your judgement. If your post isn't "forum acceptable", people will let you know.
Coin's for sale/trade.

Most spam is called out because people think it's not fair to use forums as a place to advertise wares when that's all we do anyway.

There was no vote. It's an etiquette thing.
I wish people would stop lying or trying to bully others.
The only thing would be if pcgs made the announcement, not any of us forum members. Sheesh
For the op.....in your updated version, yes, I think it would, and should, be considered spam.....the posting would be done to promote the coin and sale of the coin. BST
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Unlike your troll bait on it, it isn't me ruling, or YOU ruling. It is PCGS ruling...and they did not rule there was a "vote", like you stated. It is black and white. Cut and dry.
Play your word games, try to convince people that there was a rule laid down to support what you want, but in the end, it is PCGS' board and nothing you, nor I, want or say, will make something a rule or a vote.
Maybe grow up a bit? Nah.....you like the drama.

OK you've bullied me enough on this. I give. You win.
