Purchased off the Internet on a Tuesday evening; resold at a major auction.

Might be a lesson in there somewhere... image

The power, magnitude and disparity of Heritage never ceases to amaze me.

Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

Heritage allows you to buy back your own coins. For all we know, it could have been seller had a bid in to protect him/her self, bought it back, and relisted it in the major auction.

There are easier ways than the auction house, but that's a good flip for someone and a nice commem.

Having the right audience plays a factor as well.

Joe/Jane Collector may have "needed" that particular commemorative on that particular listing and may of had to work late on the previous listing. I have missed the opportunity on several occasions by working late.

    Estate Unreserved auction maybe.

Who knows when the house bidder bids.

Toners gets seen for what it is. Moon money flows.

image all just speculation over coffee.
  • Probably two people viewed the coin in hand and thought it was a lock 67

Quite possibly. I see too much chatter on the reverse and the luster appears a bit flat,
although it's impossible to gauge from Heritage photos. Pretty coin, regardless of grade.
