Anyone here having any issues loading the Heritage website using Windows 10? update in first post

I have tried changing settings and have had no luck. Heritage loads fine on my office computer, but ever since Windows 10 was installed about two weeks ago their website will not fully load on my laptop.
As of late last night the problem seems to be fixed. An available Microsoft update in the lower right corner prompted me. I performed the upate and restarted the computer. I then opened Heritage's we page and it loaded with no problems. I was even able to go as far as looking at individual lots in the upcoming auctions. Thanks to everyone for the ideas and suggestions.

No issues at all. Went to Heritage website (coins.ha.com) and then surfed a bit, found a coin, went to it, etc (excluding bidding on it).
So, for me, I would say "it works fine"

Sure, but those of us who know the technology know enough to know it isn't Vista.
Some of us also have enough PCs/tablets to upgrade and make sure we still have something else if needed. So we could answer the OP in something that actually addressed his question, instead of just snarkiness.
Doesn't fix his problem as it appears he still has the problem but those of us that DO have Windows 10 are not having the issue he is.
Makes me believe that there was a problem either prior to the upgrade (but he could still get on the site) or during. Doing "dirty" upgrades is dangerous as there are too many variables that software developers cannot account for. When I did my upgrade, I backed up my data, wiped the tablet back to its original setup, then upgraded and restored my data. I have seen, during my time, plenty of weird things when doing dirty upgrades.

Apple is glad to have your money and have you evangelizing them with every other post you insert in threads.
I don't have NEAR the problem with my PCs that you seem to assume....and I HAVE had an ipad but prefer a MS Surface Pro. I can DO MORE with it and I wasted a TON OF TIME trying to do some simple things on the ipad that cost $$$ and a lot of effort to do.
Lanlord's suggestion about a potential firewall issue may have some merit. Make sure of your settings on Windows 10.
Personally, for a non-MSFT browser, I wouldn't use chrome (google). I have used Firefox, however. If that doesn't work, and Edge doesn't work, I would ask 3 more questions:
1) Do you have any other website issues (try GreatCollections, David Lawrence, Stacks and Bowers, etc)?
2) Does your router have any issues with other laptops/tablets/PCs at home?
3) Have you tried your laptop at other, known working, places? Ie....your work and your home both?

None of the above are issues. It has just been on the laptop since it got the direct upgrade from Microsoft.
I don't have problems with my Windows Platform machines or my Apple Products....
but of course I was lucky enough to learn how to program on a Franklin Business
Machine when I was 5 years old, use Apple products in the early/mid 1980s and Windows
starting in 1990.
To just point the finger at PCs is ignorant. Simple Google Searches would reveal that.
As for the OP, I am not on Windows 10 so I can't help. Sorry.

For you guys that wanted to learn the inner working of the windows operating systems, good for you, I am sure it has served you well.
Apple is such a time saver for the computer illiterate people such as myself.
Apple has had drag and drop for like ever. All of their components work together, no problem.
No viruses EVER!!!!!!!! more no wasted time.
I have ALWAYS heard the complaint that apple is too expensive.
I call BS on that because of the huge amount of time saved by using an apple.
I Value time, it is by far the most valuable commodity on earth.
have a brain, don't go to risky websites. don't click on stupid things, am not stupid enough to click on
stupid stuff in the rare spam message that makes it through etc. I do have a quality firewall set up though.
So, no wasted time for myself and on top of that, I don't have ant-virus software running on my computer
to slow it down....I don't like wasted time either. Granted, most people should not do this and virus/spyware problems
are a lot more rare on Apple products but since Apple products have grown in popularity dramatically in the last 10 years
they are starting to be targeted more and more each day. Don't be naive, let Google be your friend to stay
informed and aware. Any machine can be hacked. News reports demonstrate that every day, including at the recent Sochi
Olympics for all of those traveling there.
I use both product lines and enjoy what each have to offer.

It's funny, the Apple/PC battle has been going on for ~36 years and still rages. I kept hoping someone new would come along and take them both out and end that.

No problems accessing Heritage or other sites in Win10, but I'm not using Edge - I'm not comfortable with it.
I prefer Google Chrome.
I had to quote the above, since it is so humorous. The poster "knows" Apple is vastly superior to Windows, but has not dealt with PCs in 30 years. Even knows he has saved soooo much time. Really?
Apple makes an excellent product, and I own an iPad2, which I use for entertainment. Apple is very strong in small computers like smart phones.
But we live in a Windows world, and if you work in business you will waste a lot of time getting the Apple eco system to interface with PCs and accomplish what you need to do.

Whew. Thanks. Crappy day today. Needed a laugh. I fled apple when I could get twice the memory, twice the disk storage, twice the speed at half the price. That was 25 years ago.
To the OP, what's exactly happening? Are the pages timing out? Is the page failing to load at the some point, maybe at the same point?

Now, ya see, you just don't follow history. Vista was on the failure path from the get go.
Win98SE: Great.
Millennium: Sucked.
NT: Pretty good.
Vista: Sucked.
Win 7: Great
Win 8: Sucked.
I expect Win 10 to be okay to great. Haven't had a chance to try it yet, though. All my Win 7 machines are ultra-stable. I'm waiting for a Win10 upgrade on my tablet, which I find unusable with Win 8.1 on it.

Try changing your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 (google) and see if that fixes the issue. Google "change DNS chrome" or edge, for instructions.
The default settings make use of your ISP's DNS server.

Actually, this seems like the most plausible explanation yet posted. To test, see if you can move the
laptop to a tethered smartphone (yours or a co-worker's) connection, and if the problem goes away,
it's an issue with your office networking/firewall.

Calling heritage tech support, if it does hang in the exact same spot, may be the best advice of the thread. And, it wasn't delivered with snarkiness nor with "apple is the best thing that ever happened".

In YOUR view. YOUR view, no matter how much you want to think it, isn't the best for everyone. Just like you LOVE ebay, it isn't the best for EVERYONE.
You have dug in your heals, you have bloated on about macs, etc.....it may be good for some and may not be. I used to work exclusively in one side of things but even I saw where different people had different needs and it wasn't a "one size fits all".
Not sure what SOME people have difficulty with that concept..........
I have known people to listen to people like you....tell them what is the best for them and never really sound things out to make sure it really was.....they bought apple and they hated it. Waste of $$$ for them.
I have also known others that have bought wintel and hated it and went mac and were happy. It's all about what someone needs, wants, and is comfortable with. Bloating on about one side, or the other, gets old and helps no one.

Question, How many pc computers have you bought in the last 30 years. That includes how many times you upgraded your current pc to get up to speed?

The last PC I bought built out for someone else quite a few years ago I guess was Alien Ware
(before Dell bought them and ruined the company). Dual Processors, Dual Video Cards, 32 GB
of ram at the time, 8 GB Video RAM(4 on each card) at the time, Water cooled system, 3 fans....blah blah blah...
EVERY SINGLE APPLE PRODUCT CRAWLED LIKE A BABY IN A HAMSTER WHEEL IN COMPARISON.
I think Apple Products didn't even allow more than 8MB of RAM or something stupid lame like that.
Nothing Apple Could Build was even in the same ballpark. If you build a quality PC it will last well
over 5 years without need of upgrading....unless you are doing massive video edits etc. Video editing
4K and 8K video or 3D Animation requires more horse power for sure.

I DID NOT upgrade to Win10 even though Microsoft in their infinite wisdom of Personal Computer World Domination (thank goodness my "Major" Aerospace company did NOT go to Windows Vista after my snarky opinion of it even though it was on the schedule) decided to load a program on my system which "Recommends" I reserve my copy, at no charge, today with an annoying popup at boot up time.
Since they used the word "Free" and I've been burnt by "Free Downloads", I chose to ignore their preloaded GWX Executable which does nothing other than chew up my va;luable resources.
Ron, if you have an opinion or an answer which can help the OP, fine. However, its NOT your job to tell other posters what they can or cannot say or post in your attempt to control the forum. It's really uncool and just a wee bit hypocritical.

There is always the possibility of downgrading back to the original OS.
This was not meant to start a war between Mac vs. Microsoft

I originally misread your OP as stating the work computer was the one having the issue.
Now I see it's your personal laptop. In any case, I would highly suggest trying a different
internet connection as a prelude to calling Heritage since it does not seem to be a widespread
problem with Windows 10. Maybe try taking the laptop to a Starbucks or Kinkos if you
can't tether it to a phone. The most important data point you can get is whether it's the
laptop or your network that's causing the problem.
Also, have you installed all of the latest updates for Windows 10?
I hate to suggest disable your firewall or antivirus, because unprotected computers can be attacked in seconds. But if you are using a router with its own firewall, you should be safe to temporarily disable the firewall on your PC and see if that fixes anything.
Look at your firewall logs and antivirus logs to see if they detected and stopped anything.
