Would you like to open another package with me (This one is Roman)?

My latest win from CNG arrived today. It is supposed to be a Roman Denarius from 58 BC. The coin came from an old collection and has been off the market for at least 109 years and more likely was last sold 120-140 years ago. Before I open it I am hoping there will be something like a card, ticket et cetera that ties it to the previous owner.

Setting aside my disappointment that there are no cards, notes or invoices from Mr. Pasha, I am very happy with the coin.

It looks better and sharper than the CNG photos suggested and looks much better than my crappy photos (below):

Fun stuff, Aethelred. Yeah that is a bummer that there was no old ticket or anything. Maybe ask CNG if they have it? Can't hurt.

I have some relatively common coins in my collection that I don't dare put into new 2x2's; as they have handwriting from a famous, and very nice, collector that has passed away.
