The premiums for that must be pretty outrageous for a collection worth more than say $1,000. I've had USAA for 38 years....and never would consider insuring a coin through them. I've done classic cars though...where they flop you over to American Collectors. I don't think any of these big insurers can match those companies that do coins and collectibles insurance for a living.

I sent in my list they received it 30 March 2015 and I'm still waiting for an answer.
Every time I call I'm told they are analyzing my collection. I really don't think they are interested in insuring it.
I think I'll have to rejoin the ANA and go that route.

I recommend HW Wood as well. Been with them continually for 20 years.

Am able to add/update mine through self-service on their website by entering the info requested. One time it flagged me to call customer service when I submitted the request so I sent an email through the site with details and it was done within 24 hrs. If you have a large collection then it might be different for you. They are a great company. Good luck!

Another question might be, "what has your experience been with filing a claim with usaa "

I'm paying $35 per $10,000 for the very basic coverage. Most all my coins are in TPG with no high value coins. They ask you to fill out a simple forms and within few days they will send you a written quote.
