NEWFs 1812 - 1883 RAW (17 IMAGED COINS)

When they are purchases, they are referred to as NEWPs.
When they come to you for free, they are called NEWFs.

This is a small group of the better US Coin Material.
I have arranged them in Date Order.
Not included here are about 8 2c Pieces 1864-1868 in AG-3 to VG-8 and
two IHCs 1874 and 1890.

Please feel free to grade, offer up opinions or critiques, attribute etc.
Which ones do you think should visit our host?

By far my favorite of the group and will make it to our host at some point.
The history of this era fascinates me. It seems to be a real survivor in VF25-30.

A crying shame what happened to this one a very long time ago. VG-10 Details Tooled Range

It's a shame that someone thought they would see what they could
accomplish with a scrub brush at some point. I might leave this one
out to re-tone, even though it might not fully cover up the hairlines.

I like this one.

First off, nice images keyman64. I like the first one, an early date, some meat left on the bone and gobs of originality.
I'll wager VF25. What's not to like about free, good for you.

These are some really lovely collector coins. The scrubbed half notwithstanding, the material in this thread speaks my language.

I was just going to give you the JR numbers on the Dimes when I saw yosclimber beat me to it. I had the same results....so that makes me feel good.

I really like the 1828 25/50 quarter......even though it has the problem.
