NOT my photo, so I am not sure if there is a copyright on it. Zohar may know, since I purchased the coin from him.

This is my nicest AU58 graded coin, but I'm not sure if it qualifies for "super slider" status.

Here's one of mine: (1676) Papal States Piastra Dav-4095. I also have some that I think are super-sliders, but they are in MS holders so who am I to argue with the services? image

Oh, you'd better believe it does. That's probably tied with BS' Pillar dollar for my favorite posted here so far, but everything posted has been nice. This is turning out to be a fun thread. Nice to see Broadstruck posting tokens here, too.

Sliders that I find to be super enjoyable....please forgive the light-side but they are my favorite 58's.

This coin keeps taunting me every time I see it. It always says, "nyah nyah- you can't own me!" image

    "But you CAN admire me."

And I do. Oh, how I do. image

That purpley toning on gold just knocks my socks off. image

It's an amazing coin. Got it, and the Teutonic 2T, from Greg Margulies. (There was a brief 3rd party ownership of the Teutonic between Greg and me -- a fellow board member who can out himself if he chooses.)

BTW, take a closer look at the Teutonic image. See the red spot on the reverse, below the horse in the upper left of the Teutonic coat of arms? That's clay residue used from making a catalog plate image of this coin from (presumably) long ago. I just noticed it. It means that the coin was deemed special enough for the cataloger to go through the effort and expense to plate the coin.

I owned the Teutonic for a bit and can attest to its appeal. I believe AU-58 is the highest graded for the 2 Taler type.
