Yep, they have been around for a few years. I love the shape, and yes they have the nickname of the "toilet bowl" slab. I know of 4 different varieties of these slabs.

@lasvegasteddy ... please drop me a PM if you know (or remember) the name of the other TPG using this slab shape. I only know of MCCS using "the bowl."

I kind of like it, although I think it would be nicer if the obverse had the rounded edge on top.

They belong in the toilet bowl, eh? Perhaps TPG stands for Toilet Paper Guarantee in this case.

The OP's coin looks like it might actually be graded correctly, or nearly so.

It's over-graded quite a bit.
It is a nice Morgan, but MS61 tops and way too much frost chatter to be considered DMPL. It does have pretty deep mirror fields though.

From reading the "Toilet Bowl" comments I think I can discern a reason for their demise.

It would be an interesting concept to have the round part on top and the label on the bottom. The slab would stand flat when upright. It would also add a new concept to slabs in having the label below the coin. In doing so, there may be even greater visual emphasis on the coin.

Yeah...they first popped up about a decade go. Next Millennium is when buyers can turn a profit.
