Unusual slab? PCGS early holder variety?

I dont remember seeing this one with the number of rings around the coin....but maybe the slab collectors can fill me in if the slab is rarer than the coin?

    Looks to me like it's just PCGS slab#2 that is a rattler within a
    second slab around it. Used in Oct & Nov 1989.

    Hope this doesn't repeat 6 times.

    I agree that it is normal for that time period of stabbing and for a really small coin

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    Very interesting. I have never seen that before, either. Must have been the way they slabbed smaller coins in the early post-rattler days.
    I have existed since the creation of this world and will exist until its end. Only my form will change. For these 80 human life years, I have the benefit of having a functioning body and consciousness. I will not waste this opportunity.

    Funny you should bring this up. Although these have been around for some time, I remember not "noticing" them until about 6 or 7 years ago, and asking nearly the same question, but then realized they are common enough to see at every show.

    I have one of those...sorta...the gasket in mine is kinda frosted, while yours is more clear...no overdate though.
