I was watching that one, too. Good price IMO. Great CC date with a bonfide 64+/65 coin.

Coin is worth a bit under the sale price in 65.

$300? Am I looking at the same auction? It sold for the opening bid of US $1,129.00 - somebody (same person) bid that amount twice.

I think it wasn't the doily it was the myth that a CAC Green bean = automatic upgrade...

Should have been clearer. The $300 was the premium to what the coin would have been worth without the doily. Doubtful that just the cac would have increased the price much as the spread between 64 and 65 is only about $200. $800 vs $1000,

So the $60 Morgan I cherrypicked from a dealer last year was a good score.

The coins seems to have sold for slightly more than 65 money. There is a very short bump from 64 to 65. The BIG money jump is to 66 and it is not a 66 IMHO. The buyer paid all the money for the coin.

Yes indeed. The doily premium on common Morgans had slipped to about $50. Don't know if it has bounced back yet.
