If it were a "CC" Trade Dollar it would have went for more. I just sold a decent 1875-CC Trade Dollar for $500 last month and while it was a nice one, it didn't have nearly as overall detailed as carving as this one but was still very nice compared to most potty dollars out there:
When I first saw the one auctioned tonight I thought of buying it, but with the post about it here on the forum I knew it would sell for retail and I think it did. I would have tried to sell it for around $600 or so if it were mine, but I could see someone asking up to maybe $750 for it and maybe getting it eventually. They're fun coins
