Those Small Eagles are just amazing in that condition still.
Think we will see more as they even get their own label with the pedigree.

Amazing coins. . . certainly would be nicer if the images were presented to scale.

This is the first time since 1988 that I've regretted not being in the PCGS grading room.

On Thursday, I had the wonderful opportunity to hold and view each of those coins in hand. Each and every coin is amazing. The coins are absolutely precious. After I had a chance to view them, they went into the Stacks show case for all to see. I have a very favorites but I am not telling you as I am planning on chasing them in May - if I can????

All of the coins are truly stunning. It's hard to imagine that the coin community will get many more rounds of coins of this quality in the subsequent auctions over the next few years.

Thanks for posting the pics of these dream coins. Makes me wonder if I sold my whole collection I might be able to buy one........ But then, I don't think coin collectors are that monogamous........with our coin collection, that is.

    Great post...thanks.

Excluding its rarity, the 1808 quarter eagle is what early gold should look like. It's a pleasure to view.

Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

They are amazing - the early halves were my favorite!

The PCGS labels were really bizarre - some variant of a gold label - you could hardly read the words or grades.
