I know NOTHING about photography, digital or otherwise. I picked up a little from

Here's a shot from the normal iPhone camera app.
Here's the same coin, same lighting, same rig, but with that app and a bit of clueless futzing.
No, it's not TrueView but it's definitely better!

You really can't do much with the native app. This new app gives you much, much more.

Actually - never mind, I already own it, but had not updated it since IOS 7
Here's the same coin with Camera Plus. I don't think it is as good, honestly and the app does not have the controls Manual has. It is better than the native camera app though.
Keep in mind that the ability to add those controls only came with IOS 8 - Camera Plus will probably be updated.
