In 2014, I was busy submitting Justhavingfun's Proof Peso collection to PCGS and now the entire 1903-1908 Peso collection grades PCGS-PR68 or better! I should clarify that by saying there is a 1907 Proof Peso (UNIQUE) that does not even show up in Coinfacts yet, but is graded PCGS-PR65.
Anyway, I consider toned coins like this as works of art. As nice as the most beautiful paintings out there.
We plan on having Stacks Bowers auction off the Proof Peso collection sometime in mid to late 2015.

Great coin and an excellent image- I would put this on the World Coin Forum as well. In making that suggestion, I am not saying it does not belong here. I suspect there are collectors there that would love to this this and some do not venture onto the US Forum.

True. However, I almost never go there and wouldn't have seen this beautiful coin if it wasn't posted here. Thanks for posting here.
Positive dealing with oilstates2003, rkfish, Scrapman1077, Weather11am, Guitarwes, Twosides2acoin, Hendrixkat, Sevensteps, CarlWohlforth, DLBack, zug, wildjag, tetradrachm, tydye, NotSure, AgBlox, Seemyauction, Stopmotion, Zubie, Fivecents, Musky1011, Bstat1020, Gsa1fan several times, and Mkman123 LOTS of times
I have a Canadian 1972 dollar that looks like this on the back and the front is blue around the edges and would show it but still can't find out how to do it yet. This coin is out of the world (beautiful) job with photos.
To be fair Filipino coins are pretty stunning to begin with especially for 20th century coinage. I have always been surprised that more people don't collect them as off shoots of American coinage. One of my favorite knickknacks from my time collecting is an original role of 44s $.50 centavos. The paper long disintegrated but each coin is an incredible frosty gem to superb gem with the two end coins toned. Nice coin
Big fan here of the U.S. Philippines issues, especially the pre-Commonwealth coins.
I've long thought it would be awesome to have a paired, high eye appeal twosome of the 1903 business strike Peso (not the proof or S-mint) and 1903 Philly Morgan in one of the dual holders. Anyone here that has done that?
It pains me that there were once artists producing these kind of designs and now we have committees that produce the politically correct crap designs we have today.

PS-here's another 1903 proof of the same type that I picked up recently raw at a small show. The rim colors are quite vibrant in-hand with smooth mirrors. Just picked it up because it's pretty.

Besides the color, the strike is quite sensational. From the vertical shield lines and stars struck up on the reverse to the amazing obverse details down to the well struck toenails and toes on the obverse. Simply a remarkable coin.
The entire Justhavingfun USPI collection (Mint State and Proof) will be a sight to be seen when it is sold later next year!!
