My 18 year old daughter was driving my other 2 daughters (13 &14) to a church activity tonight and was hit by a 15 year old unlicensed and uninsured driver. I'm out of state and only know that all airbags deployed and the car was totaled. They were transported to the ER. I'm sitting 1200 miles away and feel completely helpless.
After a very short and restless night I do have some good news. I do know my oldest has a lower leg fracture from a collapsing steering column and one of the younger girls has a concussion. All 3 have many cuts and contusions from glass and airbags. Considering how bad things might have been, we are very lucky that things may not be as serious as we first feared. The young man that hit them apparently has no serious injuries. I want to thank you all for the kind thoughts and prayers, it means a lot to me!

How about a BIG prayer from everyone tonight? Praying that all three of your daughters and the other driver are not hurt and will be back home tomorrow. Very sorry for what you are experiencing right now. It is hard to imagine that "feeling" until you are actually experiencing it.
Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

Months later same daughter spends weeks in hospital from a popped cyst with abdominal infection.
You are not helpless. The ER staff is there. Here's to hoping it wasn't a high speed crash and modern tech saved them.

Speechless, I hope things are ok..Car safety is so much better than it used to be. The bags hopefully did their job and they are ok..

Most of the time, things work out fine.
Hang in there, and remember that MANY accidents are minor and people get hauled to the ER and check out FINE.
My son hit a tree last week after sliding out on a patch of ice, totaled his fairly new car, airbags were deployed, and he's fine. Thankfully!!!
Scary stuff!!!
