KyleKyle Posts: 1,822 ✭✭✭✭✭
Just noticed this seller on eBay selling a bunch of fake common date morgans.

Watch out for this seller.

I sent the seller a message, I will post the response if he replies.

Feedback seems ok... perhaps he got suckered himself?

Probably a good idea to keep record of the dates of the fakies, and scrutinize those dates if purchasing Morgans in the future.

The ones you linked don't appear to be fake, they're fake, no debate. I would love to get a hold of these at a reasonable price for educational purposes and maybe list em at a ridiculous BIN amount, for all the world to see on their platform. The seller has many legitimate listings, maybe he or she has no idea. Reported all 4.

There are more dates and mints of fake Morgan dollars than there are of real ones.

All reported. I even told him that they had been reported. However, as he calls all of these common dates either "key date" or "rare date" I strongly suspect his veracity.

I reported 10 of his fake Morgans this morning.
    When in doubt, don't.

Got a reply. None of the coins have been taken down, at the time I am posting this.

Looks like 2 are down by seller....so maybe he is taking them down one by one...not sure....maybe his account was hacked and someone posted them ? just a thought
