Of course it blew a gasket totally unreachable at the bottom, under the stand...so there was no way to stop it...so now our fish are sitting in a small emergency tank on the kitchen counter.
And the Persian rug in the dining room smells like musty fish poo. What a mess!
Happy Thanksgiving!

if you put this post on the dark side, aka Foreign/world forum, I bet you can probably get 50 pics or more of different fish on coins from around the world ( if it hasn't been done already)...
By Coincidence my 6 year old nephew stopped by the store today , and he got half a doz FISH coins including 3 from Tuvalu, 1 Bahamas, and one from Danzig!

Do Standing Liberty Quarters have dolphins on them...I'm too crazed here to look around for mine.

This variety is excessively scarce with even trace red as most all survivors are fully chocolate brown.

At least that should save many hundreds of dollars.
And the fish in question are freshwater sharks and silver dollars that have literally grown to the size of dessert plates.
<< <i>Update...at least the glass didn't crack. After I removed all the rocks, gravel and 12 years of accumulated mud and muck, I think the silicone seal just gave way along the bottom. So I'm going to attempt a repair with a fresh tube of sealant.

My experience in doing so is it is just a temporary fix. You will not be able to get a strong seal like from the factory because you can not get sealant between the glass(unless you are going to reassemble the tank but I think that would be difficult). If I were you, had the room, considering your description of your fish I would buy a larger tank and give them more room to roam!

I was so happy when we finally got rid of all of our aquariums. What a great day!
Only lost one freshwater shark so far. And the residents of the emergency tank go home tomorrow.
