Who in the heck are the people bidding on these coins? Even with the bad images a blind person could tell the '56 is a tad suspect. image

There are millions who suffer a language barrier. Foreign collector, 'You buy? Bought off ebay.' Dealer: No, you screwed! It fake!

What and where is the "dealer" E-Bay site??? Never heard of that

Obvious FAKE amazing people bid on this garbage

I'd say keep bidding it up and call it a fake later.

Sent him this message....lets see what he says.

Up for auction is a lot of 3 flying eagle cents. All 3 years 1856 1857 and 1858. I know the 56 is the rarest and I would have gotten then graded but I don't really know how and I probably couldn't afford it lol.image

You have a $10,000 coin and cannot afford to get it graded?

Here is is reply to my question:

<< <i>Ok so I've been doing more research on it and I really think it's real. The Am in America is touching in the 56. In the 58 it is not. Also all the fakes show the 6 being the same size as the 8 in 58 my 6 is bigger then the 8 like the 56. And in the 58 the top bar on the 5 is different then the top bar of the 5 in the 56 and my top bar is different. But to make everything easier and to avoid myself getting scammed or having any issues. I am going to cancel the auction and wait until I can figure out how to get it graded. It will just make this so much easier even though I could really use the money lol. Sorry and I will definetly give you a heads up when I relish it. Thanks >>

I thanked him for the reply and suggested he would maximize his value by getting the coin graded. I also politely told him that in my opinion, based on 28 years in the biz, the coin has an altered date.

He voluntarily pulled the auction......GOOD NEWS WE HAD AN IMPACT AGAINimage

I can't believe people would bid on an expensive raw coin of this nature. Everybody knows expensive key date issues are prime candidates for being altered / faked.

I can't understand why any experienced dealer would not have the coin slabbed. You can draw your own conclusions.

Avoid raw big ticket coins like this!

Me thinks he agrees, his is fake. image
