More of a history kind of guy. I'm very interested in the people and story behind the coins, medals, tokens, etc. Bashlow's pieces are relatively common but how much information is there actually regarding the pieces still around aside from the pieces themselves?
Google is a wonderful thing! But so is scripophilly, so that's cool. Nothing wrong with collecting some paper.

Actually, I didn't get it for the information in it or to "collect" it. I got it because it's a piece of history that I haven't seen before so I wanted to get it scanned in and posted to the net. After that, my job to add to the world's digital knowledge is done

Ah, I see the confusion. In my first post regarding "information" I was referring to things like how the pieces were sold, Bashlow's personal notes on the pieces, minting notes, and other things of that nature. The piece of paper is a piece of history with respect to how the pieces were sold IMO, worthwhile even after knowing things like mintage, which is granted, much more than is known about some pieces. Later on, "information" was used with respect to information like metal and mintage.
I think both are important but I wouldn't generally buy something just to get the mintage which can be just recorded and posted. I purchased this piece because I think it was an interesting piece of marketing collateral and I wanted the community to have a flat scan for posterity purposes.
More than anything, I'm a fan of history and love researching who made what pieces, how they were made, how they were sold, etc.
