Interesting look at the 1990 coin market

I saw this coin on ebay and noticed the picture where the coin was purchased from Swiss America back in 1990 for $8350. I thought this was a cool history lesson...

    Sadly, the coin is still priced too high IMO.

    Auction records have been 1200-1500 for a 65, and under 2000 even if it upgrades to PF66 (which there is no guarantee that it will do).

    That was purchased during the tail end of that Wall Street driven coin boom.
