Does anyone know what the colored dots mean on the labels David Lawrence puts on slabs?

The red one might mean that they want a good photo of the coin because it's strong for the grade. Someone at DLRC said something to that effect. Maybe they were BS'ing me and it means the coin is on clearance.image

I seem to recall someone else asked this question here on the forum since I've been a member and the dots were inventory related?

The dots have no specific meaning except for inventory control to let us know when a coin has been imaged. The colors are random -- Avery sells them in multicolor packs. image

Now, if you see a hand-written letter "C" in a dot, that means a camera was used to create the image (vs. flatbed scanner).

If anyone wants to send us packs of dots with only single colors, we're happy to use those instead!

I think green dots mean they are selling at double their cost and red dots mean they are selling at more than a 3% loss. Yeah, right. image
