A little THROWBACK Thursday... (BBCE Invoice ENCLOSED!)

Although I just recently starting collecting unopened boxes, I have been buying PSA 9 only packs for quite sometime. In regard to "pedigree" I was satisfied with what I saw at the time of purchase. In looking back now, I guess the seller (who is solid IMO) could have opened the box, searched it for Jordan's and just graded 36-packs at once? Unlikely, but possible. I wonder if Steve would remember this box?

Does anyone remember these auctions on or around August or September of 2011 I believe? I would have to look at my records, but I think I ended up with 4-5 of the PSA 9's. I bought the two packs pictured online and then the rest offline. He was listing around 4-5 at a time for about a month or so until they all sold. There were no 10's from this box and I don't think any of the packs passed the $400 mark to the best of my knowledge in PSA 9...

I don't recall the auctions but those are beautiful packs. It's smart of you to save that documentation. Although no guarantee as you noted, it's much more compelling than buying a PSA 9 pack that doesn't have that behind it.

I like how Steve was willing to do an installment sale on that box. Creative thinking by the purchaser.
Always buying 1971 OPC Baseball packs.

I absolutely remember this seller, I bought 5-6 of his packs including a PSA 9 pack with Jordan sticker on the back. He used to be a board member actually, but I can not remember his user name. Good Guy

Edit to add: just pulled up the thread I bought the Jordan from. Gonblott was his user name when he was on this board.

I just looked up that thread (from gonblott) and the serial numbers do not match the PSA invoice from this batch...

Maybe my memory is failing me but I am almost certain I bought the Jordan and that's what sprung me to buy 5-6 more packs from this guy.
