Slab Storage

BustCudsBustCuds Posts: 1,096 ✭✭✭

Would like to know if any collectors here have used the Coin Armour intercept shield bags and storage boxes for their collections. Any opinions on this product would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a temporary alternative until the white Intercept Shield boxes are available again, whenever that will be.

Thank you for your responses.

I'm trying the Poly bags heat sealed on my Silver Eagles. Just recently got the bags.

Note that the zip locks make it to were they don't let the lid on the blue boxes so I used my heat sealer then trimmed the more ridged zip off so I can get the lid on.

I think that with coin storage less might actually be more and that sometimes sealing and being overly concerned about exposure to the environment can go overboard. I guess it all comes down to personal experience/ preference and the location where we each live. the thing that I believe many collectors overlook when sealing things for storage, ranging from what Linde is doing all the way to in bags, boxes and other containers, is that it is quite easy to seal in what you are trying to seal out, contaminants. if coin storage is kept simple in a dry, stable location with some dessicant everything will be OK.

I tried that bag system. Although I'm certain it's excellent protection, I thought it was a hassle. I'm looking forward to the re-issue of the Intercept Shield double box system.

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
