S/B Auction Archives

One year ago, on July 22, 2013, Brian Kendrella announced placement of subsidiaries under the Stack's Bowers brand. He was quoted in Coin World, "Under a single. consolidated research umbrella, collectors will eventually have access to historical auction information from all predecessor entities." "We have spent the past several months developing an entirely new and state-of-the-art technology platform." "It will also combine the past sales records of our predecessor forms and put over 1.5 million auction prices realized at their fingertips."

So, Brian, how's that goin' for you?

I think they'll get there eventually.

Perhaps they have been distracted landing the Pogue consignment?

It certainly does give the impression that Stack's-Bowers is not one of Spectrum Group International's priorities right now. Let's hope that changes soon enough.

Actually I think it shows that auction archives are not a business need of S-B right now.

But I agree. Hope it chances.

The auction archives of Stack's-Bowers and of ANR (going back to 2003) are on line -- and have been for some years. Before 2003 (just Stack's) I do not know.

Try finding any Stack's-Bowers or Stack's archives for early 2010 through 2013.
Go ahead. Make my day. Do ya feel lucky ?

Some earlier Stack's archives (July 2003 - May 2010) can be viewed at: www.prior.stacks.com/auctions. No idea how to find any earlier Stack's archives on the web.
