Question about GSA dollars and PCGS Oversize Holders
I recently had several GSA Carson City dollars submitted to PCGS and was excited to receive an 1882-cc in a PCGS oversize holder, graded 66. I am somewhat curious as to the value of GSA dollars in oversized holders since they are not priced in the "My Inventory". Is it because there haven't been enough of them sold to establish a price? Is there evidence that the PCGS oversize holders are generally worth more or less than the graded holders from NGC?I know the Blue Sheet has prices for the NGC graded GSA's, but not the PCGS holders. If there is a decent price advantage to having GSA's in PCGS holders, I was considering sending in my some of my NGC graded GSA holders to PCGS for their "free" crossover quarterly special. Does anyone know if that is allowed during their member's quarterly special? Go Hogs..........

Yes, but you will lose the original GSA holder, and not worth it!
For Crossover Submissions:
PCGS will not remove stickers/labels from GSA Hoard submissions certified from other third-party certification companies. If you would like to cross over your GSA Hoard coins, original packaging will not be salvaged and the coin will be graded by PCGS and encapsulated in our standard holder with the GSA Hoard designation. Please follow these instructions when submitting these coins for Crossover Service:
Submit coins in the original, hard case GSA holder.
Select either Standard or Secure Service.
Select "Crossover" for the Type of Submission.
Select Service Level (coins can be submitted under Economy tier or higher).
Please follow additional Crossover submission instructions found here.
Coins that do cross will also be charged a Guarantee Premium based on the value of the coin.
GSA Crossover coins will be encapsulated in the standard size holder (will include the GSA Hoard designation).
<< <i>I don't like them. It forces you to break up the original package of box, cert, and coin/holder. >>
