If I ever make it up to Maine, as it is definitely in the realm of possibility, I might need to find a way to catch me some of them. It is even easier to kayak lobster in Maine. I saw a video from Maine and the guy went out during the DAY and pulled up a metal trap with lobsters inside. We have to go during night as we only get to use mesh hoop nets in which the lobsters can easily climb out of.

Thanks man. It is a surprisingly easy and a very inexpensive sport that actually pays for itself with the freshest seafood you can get.
I have lived in So CA my whole life but only found this sport 3 years ago when I turned 49. I am in way better shape now and hove lost over 30 pounds.
Plus is is super fun, relaxing, exciting, and every trip is different. You get to hang out with whales, dolphins, sharks, and unfortunately seals.
As a bonus you can get more than enough Kayak Lobster for you and your family as it is even Easier than kayak fishing.
