A Seated Dollar for my Dansco 7070

ajaanajaan Posts: 17,977 ✭✭✭✭✭
With this coin, I now only need two coins to complete my Dansco 7070 album. I know the image isn't the greatest, but as always, grade opinions are welcomed. The staining at 1:00 really doesn't bother me as it isn't as evident in person.

well now that i've determined it isn't a 39-o image, i'd say if you bought it right, it is a good hole filler. is your 7070 a type set? also, isn't using the 7070 for coins a bad idea since that is a collectable version of coin holder?

Yes, a 7070 is s type set. As to your second question, what do you mean by "collectable version of a coin holder?"?

I only have the two early large cents to go. I'm having a difficult time finding the right coins.

I need both for my 7070. That one would do fine. image

Seems you're ankle deep with Seated Dollars. I think this is the third I've seen recently.

Looks like a nice vf30 for a type album. Are the marks on the rev. scrapes or streaky toning?

Yep! image I need two for the Dansco, one with motto and one without, but you are correct, I keep upgrading and now I have a couple extras.

Very old light scrapes, not as bad in person.

seems to be quite a fuss out there about dansco "7070" coin albums. i used holder in lieu of album accidentally.

VF-20. It will not make an XF anywhere. Photos make the coin seem washed out. Date seems weak. Not a terrible coin, but you can do better. If you paid over a low vf price for it, you paid too much. JMO.

Looks like a decent grab for the money. Solid VF-something.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
