Small lesson. I changed the ebay password but forgot the change it on Auction Sniper. Lost a $7 item but it's better than losing something good.

Is it safe to go back into the water (buying OR selling) at eBay yet? I've been staying away from there for now, even though I did change my pswd. image

I made sure to change mine since I have a snipe activated for 425am in the morning for a coin I want & I will still be in bed.

Safe with proper measures. Pay with paypal and carefully inspect the slab on TPG coins for fakes.

It'll never be 100% safe to use the Internet.

I can assume there are those that'd like to think all companies do the right thing immediately and cynicism need be banned, but ebay wants you to believe that all you need to do is change your password and sleep well. As I don't know any worse damage has been done, this seems the thing to do. One day.... one day....

I am mulling the extra step of getting a new CC. I also changed my security question and phone pin.

Is the seller new to eBay? 4:25 is a tad early. Or late depending how you look at it.

If the buyer is on the West coast and the seller is in NY, an auction ending @ 4:25 AM PDT would mean it's ending @ 7:25 AM EDT (which is still too early for me). image

I enabled two factor authentication on Paypal the minute they offered it. It does preclude using any sniping tools, but I'd rather be safer.

Huh??? I also have two factor authentication on Paypal and it has nothing to do with sniping tools. Sniping Ebay auctions and paying for winnings are two separate transactions. If I win an auction via sniping, I initiate paying through Ebay, which then prompts me to login to my Paypal account to pay.

I mean that if eBay ever offered this (which it should), I'd rather have that. Badly put, yes.

I want to know who on ebay would force the entire world to change their passwords ,create chaos, misbids, etc on an important money weekend where they would be seeing most traffic and revenues would be high. ???Riddle me this BATMAN
