I finally got my first Trade Dollar. WARNING - Not eye candy, more like eye broccoli.

I've been wanting and looking for one for an embarrassingly long time.
Sure I'd like one of the beautiful AU 58's or MS ones shown here, and hope to someday, but this is what I got.
Was looking to get a T$1 for my 7070 but I'm not going to crack this one out. I'll get another for my album some other day.
Very happy with it for a few reasons.
- I like that it's straight graded by PCGS. No "genuine" or "details" tag.
- Really like that it has one chopmark on each side.
- Like the date & mm.
The surfaces are not as dull as the pic appears. They have a very uniform light steel look.

Nice coin! I like it.
I love the gunmetal gray look, and knowing that this coin made its rounds to the Orient and back, what's cooler than that?
Congrats!

Nothing not to love. Love the date/mm, chops and look. Great coin!

<< <i>You had me at "broccoli"
Nice coin! I like it. >>
I got a kick out of that
The chop on the back is a little similar to my last name, which sounds like the word for "vegetable." That would've been a good match.

Even broccoli can be fantastic.

A working (China) Man's coin, and a cool look!
<< <i>I like the chopmarks on the trade dollars, so much history to them. It would be interesting to look up exactly what the chopmarks are saying? >>
They say: "Be sure to drink more Ovaltine!"

I believe a girl I dated had these tattooed on her back. They mean "Transcending Butterfly"
