    Also, I have always wanted to know why the "McClaren 2" pedigree coins I have seen are common date ms62 & 63's???

    Some of those you list are merely hoard pedigrees. While they're more plentiful and less expensive, the establishment of the hoard had little or nothing to do with numismatics.

    Oh, I agree. But, thought it might make a nice collage, in a shadow box, and was just thinking of pedigrees.
    Nothing more or less. No thought to who the pedigree was attributed to (bank, casino, individual, numismatist, etc).

    There are probably more pedigrees for Morgans than for any other series. Some pedigrees are special and add value but many can actually cause coins to be discounted.
