I was a Teletrade customer but i just bought my first item since they did the merger with stacks. I bought a coin for 145 so about 170 with the BP. Okay so thats all good. But what I didnt know is that shipping is 25 bucks on there! For one coin. Is this a normal thing for stacks or is this just an iauction backdoor increase in the BP.

Are you sure that is correct?
I used to buy on TT but haven't purchased since just before they stopped as TT and just do business as SB.
If there is a minimum $25 shipping, then I won't even bother looking as I don't always know if I am buying $100 or $1000+ (depends on winning bids, etc).
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

The subtotal included my BP but then I got killed by that shipping ha. The hammer price was 145. So including everything I had to pay an extra 50% for the coin. Are we okay!?
I definitely consider this when bidding in any of their auctions.
The fee on their sites says $7, but $25 for Canada and Mexico

I placed bids. Didn't win.
Found out that "submit bid" and "submit all bids" do the same thing. However, functionality is much improved with some major bugs addressed.
I haven't tested their back button lately, but the browser's back button worked as described.

Shipping at stacks is significantly cheaper than heritage. As mentioned- Robin is always willing to help on anything at stacks.

The shipping costs sound strong.
BUT
Don't be one of the innumerable innumerate fools who think the buyers fee is an extra cost. The idea of hammer price is now mostly a marketing construct aimed at consignors.
The coin itself (including the buyers fee) cost $170. Even with inflated shipping that's about a 22% increase over base cost.
Mini-rant: Not directed at the OP directly, but anyone who thinks the buyers fee is an extra burden for the buyer that decreases their coin budget should go back to repeat 5th grade arithmetic, this time without the self-pity . .
