Ebay

But please no comments on whether or not it is properly graded as all you have to consider are digital images.

Judging from the photos, I am confident that is a Morgan dollar.
    When in doubt, don't.

Considering all the fakes, we are off to a good start!

And maybe, there's some super flash to it to fit the grade, no? image

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

I looked at that coin and went right on. To dark for my blood (no pun intended). That dark scabby
color is a turn off to my eyes.

Here is one I had graded (from a plastic holdered bank giveaway) and immediately sold
as I did not even think this was attractive enough to keep. I do think it's a bit nicer than
    that 67 (for eye appeal)

This one is more attractive, but I sold it too! Same MS66 grade.

    .
i looked that one over a few times, prior to this post and imo, there looks to be a rather large cheek scuff, so i just moved along.

It doesn't do much for me and the lack of a star indicated that it didn't do much for NGC either.

The NGC Star is rarely awarded.

I don't find it especially attractive and I agree that it sure looks like a scuff on the cheek from the images

you probably shouldn't post something you're considering buying when it has a Buy It Now

Scrape at 1pm, eyebrow nose chin color issue, but color is not as dark as it looks in photo, it will be lighter in hand.

On the screaming steals I just by them. One the fence sitters the risk is minimal.

This post though is more an exercise in whether we can opine on the coin without questioning the grade, as proposed by the Legend principles.

    So far I am impressed!

How about a counter offer for a dull-toned, fingerprinted non-CAC NGC MS67 common date Morgan. $650 if you really want it.

Hey Rick I was going to say start at 575.00 and not to exceed 675.00

$650 or so would be a far offer for the grade. Would pay more though if I could talk my girlfriend in to picking it up in Vegas!

And yet you are considering purchasing it based strictly on those same images... and soliciting comments from us
based strictly on the images. Well, since that's all we have, I would say if that coin were a stock, it would be the
equivalent of "dead money". But if it floats your boat, who really cares what we think?

Should have framed the thread better. A prominent dealer has opined that we ought not to disagree with a TPG grade on this forum.

Just wanted to see how things went regarding opinions on the coin without beating up on the grade. Seemingly quite well.

the guy is not dead as that is a newer holder and he expertly applied his thumb to the coin causing the acids in his body oils to eat through the layer of silver oxide tarnish(for Rick) that had been placed on the coin over an undisclosed amount of time.
