Here are images of an 1807 Draped Bust Half Dollar - wondered which overton variety this might be and what the best source is to identify the overton varieties for such coins.

The best source for IDing these is still Overton. My copy happens to be at home so I can't give you a definite answer.

    My guess is 105...2 reasons.

    1. Anytime I see a bustie my first guess is that it will be the most common.
    2. I don't see any outstanding pickup points that says it is one of the rare die marriages.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

The question comes because of the significant die chip between the ED of United on the reverse.

I agree with O-105. The die chip you refer to is an attribute of O-105a, however, the remainder of the diagnostics are not quite there. I am using the 5th edition of Overton, by Don Parsley. Looks like an honest piece.
