When did PCGS reissued the Doily label?

The coin in the holder is dated 1999. The Doily label only lasted 1989-1990.

i think it came out shortly after the ngc black holder retro debacle. seems pcgs thought following suit was somehow was a good idea?!

About this Label:
These vintage label sets are reminiscent of PCGS’s early style holders often referred to as “doily” slabs.
Produced some time around December of 1989 this short lived PCGS holder quickly became popular because
of its innovative pattern design meant to discourage counterfeiting. There are very few original “doily” holders
left on the marketplace and when offered for sale these sell quickly to collectors looking to add variety to their collection.

I was always under the impression that this was a PCGS Authorized Dealer option.
However, I can see that in the original thread regarding these that keyman spoke with a Miguel at PCGS and reported the following:

That one dealer got the monopoly on these and was therefore allowed to make a good bit of money from these. These are not available to anyone else submitting to PCGS even if it is a bulk order. Miguel was unable to tell me who the ONE AUTHORIZED DEALER was. He was also unable to tell me the exact dates these were first produced or if they were still being done for this one dealer. He said he would call me back to let me know if he could share any additional information but I have yet to hear from him. >>

Is there population report available to how many retro Doily holders were produced in type and grade!

it doesn't answer your question directly but members here have a thread to track the known survivors by cert/type/grade etc and for anyone trying to get that number, as i doubt their is an official census (it may be possible from some old pcgs paper pop reports/documents that are floating around) one can look at the highest known cert for the previous generation and the lowest number of the next. also it would help to look at the lowest known cert of a doily and the highest. those 4 numbers would get someone real close.
one can also just start looking up certs around those numbers as well by changing the cert url up and/or down.

There were 5 1878-s Morgan’s holders done but only 4 current survivors
