I added a pic of my 1824/2 JR2 Dime....

I am just getting started in taking coin pics and going thru my set getting pics of coins without a pic. I use sellers pics when they look good.

On this 1824/2 JR2, which is a very scarce variety...PCGS gave it a Genuine (this was before detail grading) 98 Bent. I can't see the bend.

See what you think.

Thanks in advance. LINK

I never tried it, but I heard that you could take your bent coin, place it between two heavy pieces of leather, and bang it with a hammer. Let us know if you try this.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

Hasn't worked for me, nor has it worked between two pieces of soft wood - both using first a vice grip, and then carefully with a rubber mallet.

    Thanks Realone.

I won't be performing any "straightening" process on this dime. image

It's home is this slab until I'm a goner. image
