Ebay buyer to block
user name b5b6b7b8
So I thought I sold my 1859 pr seated dollar, cool right. Well as I'm checking out the invoices and what not I get a message from him. Hey why did you charge me $6.95 for shipping when you said it was free.
Well it never said that, so I start looking into this guy BTW who only has 1 feedback that states seller beware gives negatives in the follow up comment. Now I'm kinda concerned and start looking into it some more and the name used on the pp account is for a 62 year old man but the messages received seem like a someone lesser of maturity and weird stuff like stop the subscription in his message. Huh, right well now I also note my feedback is less one and hes already given me a negative! Saying same such about shipping charges.
So I call Ebay and they check the listing and confirm he's wrong and remove the negative feedback. I tell them I don't want to proceed as I feel likes its a scammer and they basically tell me I have to unless he will agree to cancel the transaction.
Well nope he declines so I refund him and now I'm out I guess the $250 VFV. I'm gonna do more research on this guy cause I think its definity way to much for ebay to expect you to ship stuff to people acting this way over a few hours of their purchase and I'm pissed they think I should have to or give up my FVF.
One more thing to note as I did have the buyers low scores and feedback blockers on and one other thing I noticed is on the same day twice the coin was attempted to be purchased by some one with 1 feedback like him that was blocked due to no paypal account. Weird huh, they block the names of who was blocked but I definity think its the same guy.

<< <i>Definitely not someone I'd want to do business with. Anyone who would bother you about $7 shipping on a $3000 coin is just nuts. I remember that coin, the one in my post about the worst. listing. ever. It's a great coin! Hope it REALLY sells soon. If you make your listing look like it was done by a real collector and not a hijacker, you might attract better than a 1 feedback bidder that is gonna fight with you over $7! I'm sorry, but a title like "1859 pcgs pr61" is just hideously, abhorrently, ridiculously horrible. I'm I don't sell on Ebay nearly enough to block him, bit thanks for the heads up. Good luck. >>
After this is not even gonna bother trying to sell on ebay, oh well.

Not sure why you are losing the FVF?

Ditto. FVF fees are refunded to the seller on canceled transactions. It takes a while to cycle through, but you'll get your fees back...

Did he actually pay? If he did, you are covered by sending him the coin, and who cares about $6.50 in shipping on a $2750 coin?? (Especially if you have to pay the final fee now of $250!)

He did pay then right away sent me a message like I said then gave me a neg. Also exactly who makes a big deal about a shipping charge when the coin is such a high value, plus not even be correct. I wrote the guy who's paypal account paid using the email provided, no response. Though this guys still putting the pressure on through ebay. Somethings also really fishy about the 2 1 feedback buyers blocked for no paypal account on the same day as a 1 feedback account now getting through my blockers has manage to buy it. Tell me how in the world it can't be the same person? Also how would I be covered if one of his relatives/caregivers is using his paypal account to buy this taking advantage of the 62 man that's suppose to own the paypal account. The messages came all through the night like tweeker status and I didn't sleep due to all this drama. Anybody know any 62 year old men that send messages all through out the night? I pipled the guy that owns the paypal account and I'm pretty sure some shady person is working the ebay account. The whole communications from the ebay person are weird. Like I said I wrote them and asked if we could cancel and they where like no only the subscription? Huh what? I even asked them what they meant and they never responded to that. Now I got a message from a customer service rep saying they are trying to help the buyer, well I told them the same thing I told you guys. Way to shady for me I'm sorry with all the Ebay horror stories sided for on the buyers side. If anyone knows a way I could be totally protected I might complete the transaction. I even told the ebay rep in my email I would ship the coin to them and pay for shipping from them if I had guaranteed protection. It seems even with signature and insurance they can say the got an empty box, then USPS can say well it shows delivered and signed for, sorry you SOL! Also I here sometimes people use credit cards then get the items and well they are stolon or canceled and same as above SOL!

The fact that he is trying to force you to ship it through eBay seems to indicate he really does want it. Why not call him and talk it out? Send him a message with your phone number. There are other ways to get the contact info.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
Blocked and thanks for the heads up.
Hope it all works out.
For now I am done with ebay and trying to sell. I paid 2450 for this coin and will greatly unload it at that price minus any transaction fees to be out of the water. I obviously need more experience doing this. Anyone that wants to undertake a rookie seller and help me get into the business side of numismatics I would greatly appreciate the chance as I long for a new career!

<< <i>Another Dumb Blonde question - how can I block him from buying from me on eBay? >>
While logged into ebay click on customer support at the top of the page and type "block buyer" in the search box then click on "search" button. scroll down and click on "blocked bidder list."
Once you find it, I recommend creating an "ebay" folder in your favorites (I put one in the viewable favorites bar) and add this page and others that you will periodically visit. Then it's only a click away.
Here's a few more good ebay pages to add to that folder for future use:
Report violations
Cancel my listing
Report picture theft
Fee calculator

I have a Folder in My favorites for Blocked Bidders with a link to the thread which instigated the block. That way, I can always reference WHY I blocked someone.
The name is LEE!
Profile updated, this page and eBay pages bookmarked.
Thanks so much!
