1886-P Morgan $ NEWP GTG and VAM

Picked this guy up at the Vienna, VA show this past weekend. Thought it was pretty neat. I wasn't aware you could have it holdered with the reverse showing forward.

And how do you like the photos?

Thanks FTB, I already VAMed it, just curious how good others are image. Definitely double clashing though, super neat coin. Also, there's a decent bit of toning on the obverse (none of that crazy awesome rainbow toning everyone else has though).

  • Nice Havoc Steve I like the nitro buggies. Oh I like the Morgan also. Pics are just a bit dark but look nice.

I'm jumping on the 64 Bandwagon.

(Hint for next time - covering the serial number would help as well)

Steve, ya know were just havin a little fun, as Kyle says, The SN# tells a lot on PCGS slabs
basicly the first set is a PCGS ID for that type of coin and date and MM, second is a grade
and third is its individual ID no# or something like that, I'm sure if i'm wrong someone will
    correct me.

    BTW NICE PU/NEWP image

  • Since 1886 only has two near date VAMs, I would say this is the VAM 13.

Nice coin. Not sure of the VAM from pictures. Could be 3A.

Messydesk, your right. It is a 3A or 3B. The 3B on VAMWorld shows the double clash under the chin, but this coin doesn’t show the double clash going to "In" from the wing like 3B.
