Anybody know where Storm888 disappeared to?

He was brilliant in his posts, and I always enjoyed reading them. Anybody heard from him?

That post came after Storm went MIA for over a year. The gender makes no difference to me, storm is good people.

People do come and go for whatever reason. I do it myself; some boards I lose interest in and never return. Some I frequent religiously in spurts and disappear. I would suspect it is no different from anyone else.

I, personally, have wondered where Foo and Ilafoe (the person who was stationed in the middle east) went. I'm thinking Mark (Foo) got booted for some reason because he would post frequently and went silent all-of-a-sudden. Plus, he had the Canseco private signing (did not participate) going and never saw how that turned out.

Maybe Nam812 or CDsNuts can pull him/her out of the closet. Since they seem to be able to create other alts.

I didn't know Foo was booted. I talk to Marc here and there. Didn't know he did anything wrong. I thought the last Canseco signing went good. Pretty sure he sent me text pics.

I'll give you $5.8 million if you can accurately name an alt I created...... Let me save you the time- I've never created one or even felt the need to.

Let me ask you this- do I seem like the type of guy that would hide behind a fake screen name? If I won't hold back my opinion with this screen name and I've never been banned from here (which I haven't, not even a timeout), what would be the point of me even creating a 2nd alias?

In an unrelated note, I'd like to point out that you're a moron.

And I'll throw this out there- storm888 took the time to share information about things that affect a lot of our businesses, a lot of which was tedious and boring policy-related stuff about ebay, paypal and markets as a whole. Most of us would not take the time to read and internalize such information, much less feel the need to share it with others. Whatever storm's motivations for sharing said information, I for one appreciate it because I'm the last guy to sit here and read a press release or quarterly financial statement.

Ditto for Nick. If he's got something to say, I'm 100% confident he'll have zero issue telling you what is on his mind under his only account.

As for storm, I thought "his" name was Jack. I'm sure of one thing: if he (or she) is still online then Google, Ctrl C and Ctrl V are being utilized.

Didn't realize it was that long ago?

Storm was so cool that I PM'd a financial/investment question to him and he responded with an in depth, 20 paragraph assessment of his thoughts. Had to take 45 minutes to write. Now that's a giving person.

My last contact with him was: May/26/2008 4:53 PM

At the time he was saying he was dying on the collectibles side of things, but was making an easy killing selling used clothing (mostly fashion stuff) on ebay.

He may have just bailed on the sports stuff altogether. He was into some other business too, so he was doing alright to say the least.

Nam812 posted a thread in which he indicated he was using Maurice as an alt.

Evidently, now, both of those user id's are no longer allowed access to the forum.

I have no idea if Nam812 was really Maurice as well, OR whether it was a pretty clever move that Nam812 pulled off by claiming he was both, and sacrificing his Nam812 ID in order to get the Maurice ID banned as well.

Have seen stranger things happen image

Both those user id's seemed to be fairly decent poster(s) to me.

Just another day in the playground, always some kind of drama.
