Opinions: Are these legit?

Recently listed on eBay:

54 Aaron PSA-9

52 J. Robinson PSA-8

The Aaron cert number checks out, but the fonts on the flip seem off, as do those on the Jackie, whose cert is not confirmed on the PSA website.

Be very very very warry of hi $ cards and low feedback seller. Especially ones with no psa card sales.
Seems to me too much 'frosting' aroud the AAron...as if case was cracked and card inserted.
If Jackie cert is wrong...then probably fake. Then both are.

Both to me seem just off

Do not like the font on the flip on that Robinson. Looks wrong to me.

I'm no expert but it looks like both cases have a ton of frosting, could be just a bad picture though.

The serial numbers are practically touching each other on the Aaron and Robinson labels.

I'd say both holders show signs of having been cracked open.

The Robinson is definitely fake. You can tell by looking at the card itself. The flip is also really bad as well.

The real ones are listed first followed by the scammer's version...

Here's the original Aaron. Note the FULL borders and the font on the flip...

And the Robinson isn't the same, either...

Excellent detective work Scott. Without a doubt, very good comparisons.

I see the listing ended rather quickly. Good thing for those guys bidding on those cards. They should send who ever sent that guy a message about his cards being fake a Christmas card every year.

I find it amusing how sellers like this always seem to have sold Nintendo products.

It never ceases to amaze me how some people will try to scam others and how many will fall for it. Research and knowledge are so easy today, I cannot, for the life of me, understand why so many are unwilling to invest the time to do their due diligence before making a purchase.

And this doesn't just go for scams. There are plenty of items offered for sale that are available at lower prices or are not worth the prices asked or being paid (for a myriad of reasons). With respect to graded cards, too many just buy the flip. LOOK AT THE CARD PEOPLE!!! Understand the dimensions, the tolerances and the other factors that should apply to the issue! Nothing worse than seeing people pay 125% of the value and only getting 97% of the original card...
