Reholder takes longer than express.

Sent two submissions in at same time. One reholder, one express. The Express is finished, but the reholder is still in process. Somebody explain that one!

    Seems like reholder should be like a walkthrough. Since no grader is needed.

    Aren't both services supposed to be around 5 days? One finished before the other. Not too surprising, I guess.

    If you vented about Santa on his own message board it might place you on the Naughty List...

    So just remember here PCGS also sees you when your sleeping, they know when your awake, they know if you've been good or bad, so be good for goodness sake! image

    Doesn't surprise me at all. Reholders have to get in line with everything else going to the Sealing Room, and $10/coin orders probably don't carry much priority weight in deciding who goes first.
    When in doubt, don't.

    The turnaround times on the websites are estimates based on the prior weeks average times for the indicated services. If PCGS gets a big batch on the following Monday, those times will grow longer and will not be reflected on the website until the following week. My guess is that they are busier than last week and times are taking longer now at this moment.

    That is counter intuitive. Since all it needs is a new holder, seems like it would go straight there upon arrival. Not go through the grading line. It is what it is I guess.

    When I have a coin of value and want it reholdered, I send it in Express. I'm not going to forswear the very slight chance that a grading fee intended for predictable deliverability might result in lottery winnings at incredible multiples of the difference in costsimage.


    Dealers would have different formulas based on factors such as cash flow that collectors don't.

    I wonder what the value breakpoint is for Forum collectors in deciding what service tier to use?
