There's 2 ships on the obverse and also a hot air balloon on the reverse.

If you do a eBay search in competed sales you'll see another that was listed for $77.77 not long ago with a car on the obverse instead of ships.

This is actually still available for the same price here.
  • I know it is a steel hulled civil war steam ship with the dirigible mast tether. What I need to know is the resource that would list this token. I have seen that ship before on the history Chanel but am unable to recall it . Dam meds scramble my brain some times but they keep me alive.
  • interesting as the car on the other token appears to be a Cadillac or similar because of the headlights

These are the only 2 I've seen... Taking a wild guess I don't think these are American and might be 20th century German spiel tokens.

That being said I'm not sure if $30 was a good deal as the other is listed for nearly $80 as they could both just be worth 2-3 bucks.

That ship looks like it could be from the Spanish-American War era.

Need the following OBW rolls to complete my 46-64 Roosevelt roll set:
    1947-P & D; 1948-D; 1949-P & S; 1950-D & S; and 1952-S.
Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!

May be either the USS Shenandoah (ZR-1) or the USS Los Angeles (ZR-3) both of which conducted flight activity from the mast-equipped tender USS Patoka from 1923--1932
Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

I think the token might be an early battleship with an attendant observation balloon that performed artillery spotting in support of the battleship's main guns. My .02
  • Thank you all check out this link it is pics of the crew of the air ship.
