<< <i>I weighed a 1978 Topps card and it was 10 grams. >>
For real? I don't have a *digital* scale, but it took me 14 1989 Fleer cards to equal 1 ounce, which means each one is about 2 grams. >>
You are probably right. Maybe my scale doesn't weigh something that light very accurately. But you make sense, because looking back at what I wrote it does not seem to be correct. I said just under 400 cards weighs 8 pounds ... can't be true, because that is about 1/2 the size of a modern day set. If that were true, a set of cards would weigh 16 friggin pounds! Thanks for correcting me.

Thanks Maurice. Looks like my scale is off a bit. My PSA graded card comes up as 45 grams (3 more than the prior poster) and when I put the 5 qtrs on the scale it shows 1.1 ounce.

5 quarters weigh exactly 1 ounce. A roll of quarters is exactly 8 ounces.
