Fresno Coin Show Check-In!

This weekend is the Fresno Numismatics Society's Coin Show, who's going? I know we have a few Central Californians on the board image

It is a small show, but it brings some good dealers and is always a good time.

For those who do not know the show details:

October 26-27
Sat 10am-5pm
Sun 10am-4pm

Las Palmas Masonic Center 2992 East Clinton Ave, Fresno, Ca

The raffle prizes are always great, including a $20 gold piece, other gold coins (I think a $5 and $2.5) and lots of silver prizes. There are some seriously good prizes for such a small show.

$2.00 Admission
ANACS Coin Grading Service will be there as well.

For those who can't attend I will try and write a nice show report!

A bit off topic but I lived there from 1966 to 1977, well Clovis actually but every time I say that people say New Mexico? so I just say Fresno now, it's the same place either way. Any of you local to the area know of Lil' Brown Jug on Clovis Ave?

I will be there! Come say hello at Holsonbake Numismatics' table!

It is an excellent show for being small. Great raffles ($20, $5, and $2.5 gold as well as lots of silver) and an excellent variety of material is present on the bourse floor.

I know where it is, though I have never been inside. I believe it is still there, the sign is at least.

Heard there was a show in Hawaii, so I think
I might get to see the islands instead.

I was planning a hiking/ photography day trip to Yosemite for Saturday so I might stop by for a little bit. It's a small show but I've done okay at this show in the past. About a decade ago I did win the grand prize in the raffle, which was nice.

A coin show is a great reason to stop by Fresno...sure beats the normal reason Bay Area folks spend time there: because they got lost on their way to Sequoia National Park.

I'll admit we aren't San Francisco, LA or NYC, but with a population in Fresno of over 500,000 and 100,000 in Clovis (3x larger than the New Mexico version) there are more here than just lost souls.

A great article with a picture of the prizes went up today, they are the second picture in the gallery. I think it is one of the larger articles the Bee has published about us over the years, so we are excited about that!
