Beautiful pics. So precise. Do you have a 44 d over s (OMM #1) to shoot? Better yet, the 27 d/d Lincoln would look killer with these kind of photos!!

could you please share your set up for taking photos it would be very helpful to the rest of us who do not know how you do this. I have never been a macro photo person I have been a large format and black and white nature and automotive photographer.

I've never owned a 44D/S #1. I sold my copy of #2 a while back. No 27D/D either :-(

Lots of info out there on close-up or macro stereoscopic photography via Google. There are a couple of 2 lens cameras out there as well....different methods are available to accomplish this. Would love to know what the OP is doing.

I'm going to publish a few more images before I describe the method. As a teaser, this wasn't done with a 2-lens camera...Ray

You could make a lot of money, by saving us variety collectors a lot of money, by getting pre submission pictures taken of RPM s, DDO, etc, so we could get our host to get our variety designations correct the first time!

RPM#4 is pretty tough to find as well. About 10 years ago I bought a group of OBW 1956-D rolls (with hopes of finding RPM #8!) and found a few OMM#1 (my avatar) in each one. I also found a few RPM#4 in each but didn't think much of it since the OMM#1 was new and hot at the time. Turns out the RPM#4 may be more rare than the OMM!

I've found several RPM 1's, and a single RPM 8. I can eliminate a coin as RPM 8 with the naked eye- the mintmark position is extremely high on RPM 8 and almost touches the date... If I don't see that, not RPM 8

While we are on the topic of 56-D Lincolns, do you have an rpm 16? I would love to get mine photo'd like you have done with the rpm 1. For those that aren't familiar with it, the ghost D is struck well into lower
leg of the first 9. The mint employee had to be drunk that day! Anyone? Any photos?

I was very lucky with one group of OBW rolls and find a nice sprinkling of RPM#1's, about a half-roll of them total out of a group of 10 rolls. The pics above are of one of the coins from that group...

Nope, never found an RPM#16. From the pictures it looks like it's completely separated, like RPM#8. Very cool. Does it stand out from the field such that you could see it well in 3D? Since I'd love to see it, I'd 3D image it for free. PM me if you are interested...Ray
