I sent the following message: Dear coinclub,
You guaranty this authentic but do you guaranty the grade at any other service? If not, do you guaranty the grade within two points at any other service? I've never heard of ANCS. I prefer NGC or PCGS. Let me know.

"guaranteed to be genuine and authentic...grading is subjective to ones' own opinion. This coin is not graded by one of the more common grading companies. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the grade. We also cannot guarantee that this coin has not been cleaned at one time or another."
Seems to me all the seller is saying is "it's real and we guarantee that". Otherwise, all bets are off.

I bet this coin grades AU58 at ANCS!
My Early Large Cents
the point is obvious as it is useless and i recognize the feeling unfortunately.
it is a reaction to the stupidity of coins like this in holders with those kind of numbers for grading. plain ridiculous.
posting here doesn't do much good but it is frustrating seeing this kind of crap and sometimes i think people need to vent. such is life.
always makes one wonder what kind of response someone would give to a couple simple questions but after hearing some of the answers i got, i just plain stopped asking.
.
MS-66 Morgans are looking awfully haggard. I'm think I'm going to stick with MS-70. Boy are those buggers hard to find!!

Just giving them a chance to speak their piece, here on the board.

Could it be because ANCS ranks lower than NTC, or is it due to the recent neg feedback he got here on an ANCS coin he recently sold? The FeedBack seems to justify the knowledge a lot of us have here, and that they are a garage slabber, and the 'CC' mintmark may just fall off if cracked for a cross. That kind of feedback wouldn't make me all warm and fuzzy. But, people still buy these things, rolling the dice on them.....sure, once in a great while, you get lucky if it's authentic and only 2 pts undergraded.
And as Bob states:

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for an answer to that question, and I might doubt that if seller was here, I know I wouldn't be admitting it was me selling that crap!!

Your eye for quality is your trademark.
There is no way in hell you're interested in this harshly cleaned/polished POS.
This thread topic and inquiry appear to be cloaked in sarcasm, OK- I get that, but to ask the question you did of the seller- with your tongue firmly planted in your cheek and expect to get a response is just silly.

"MS/BU" is mentioned in all three.
Perhaps in your next contact you can remind him that his typing "MS/BU" is him applying an approximate grade and if he later says "grade not guaranteed" then he is saying do not trust what I type.
<< <i>Seriously, I had not read his feedback. Didn't feel a need to go there!

There really wasn't for me, either (ANCS, or any 'knockoff' plastic, the feedback needs to be checked to see if if it was junk , but I wanted to check for a return hobby (more like a non-) return policy. Depending on who's selling what, I check feedback a lot (but this guys account being 'private', that always sends a red-flag, not a huge one, but.....) I understand some negs can be spiteful, but I THINK, in this case (and most/all sales of ANCS, PGS, NTC, 'graded' coins, the usual 'close to the trademarked name' home slabbers), I'd think if a buyer ever had a problem with an ANCS coin, I'd tend to believe the feedback and the problem was with the coin. The seller's 'feedback left' can be telling, at times, also. Shows, on one neg feedback response he got, he won't honor any guarantee, that he won't guarantee the grade (even 'MS/BU', which he states it IS in the title,,,,,he won't guarantee authenticity, nothing. But he DOES have a 14 days 'hassle free return policy', and in the description state "NO QUESTIONS ASKED GUARANTEE…. 100% full refund if you don't agree with quality of the coin upon inspection.
If you don't agree with the quality of the coin just send it back within 14 days of the purchase date for a full refund. NO QUESTIONS ASKED"
Doesn't make any guarantees, but has a hassle-free return policy? I'd just keep moving along.
